CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

KENLIX joined on January 3rd 2022 as the Chief Financial Officer/Vice President of Labuan Re, and subsequently promoted to Senior Vice President on January 1st 2023. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK, and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. He had 26 years of international experience across insurance, Takaful, FMCG, and manufacturing. He started in manufacturing before moving into FMCG, where he spent 13 years managing cost modelling, cross-border operations, and financial oversight in nine Asian countries. He later held finance roles at Sun Life Malaysia and MCIS Insurance, overseeing regulatory reporting, treasury, investments, and M&A activities.

Kenlix played a key role in mergers involving Zurich, Pacific Insurance, and Sanlam Group, and contributed to national initiatives under Bank Negara Malaysia and LIAM. In 2020, he led IPO and restructuring efforts as CFO of PT Resources Holdings Berhad. At Labuan Re, he has since led key initiatives including MFRS 9 and 17 implementation, ESG statement development, and the Insurance Capital Adequacy Framework. He also serves on two sub-committees under the Labuan International Insurance Association.
