AMALANATHAN THOMAS

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

AMALANATHAN THOMAS, aged 64, is a Malaysian and a Director nominated by HICOM Holdings Berhad. He is a Non-Executive Director since January 2020 and is the Chairman of the Remuneration & Nomination Committee and a member of Audit Committee.

Amalanathan Thomas holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Malaya and earned Professional Qualifications in Accounting and Taxation. He holds memberships in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia, Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia, ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant, Malaysian Institute of Management and Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia.

Prior to his retirement on 30 June 2021, he was the Group Director, Financial Services of DRB-HICOM Berhad. He was appointed as Principal Officer of DRB-HICOM Berhad on April 1^st 2016. He was responsible for the overall financial management of the Group with focus on Accounting, Reporting, Taxation, Risks & Sustainability. His experience spans over 25 years in the fields of finance, accounting and taxation.

Amalanathan Thomas sits on the Boards of Zelan Berhad and several private limited companies.
