AW YONG joined on July 1st 2019 as the Head of the Actuarial of Labuan Re, and subsequently became the Appointed Actuary in July 2022. He is responsible for the Actuarial Reserves of the Company, and he oversees the actuarial assignments across the organisation. He began supervising the Corporate Development Department on September 13th 2024.

He is a Fellow of Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and holds a B.Sc. (Hons) Actuarial and Financial Mathematics (First Class) from University of Malaya. He is also the President of CAS Asia Region Casualty Actuaries (AReCA) and a council member of the Actuarial Society of Malaysia (ASM).
