CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
KENLIX joined on January 3rd 2022 as the Chief Financial Officer / Vice President of Labuan Re, and subsequently promoted to Senior Vice President on January 1st 2023.
He is a Chartered Accountant and members with Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA), UK and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants.
Kenlix brings with him 24 years of international work experience in the industries such as Life & General insurance and Takaful, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Manufacturing. He was responsible for regional and national financial reporting, treasury management, regional corporate exercises in terms of Merger & Requisition (M&A), Series B and C funding, setting up foreign owned business entity and Initial Public Offering (IPO).
He began his career in the manufacturing sector and subsequently moved onto FMCG industry with a total length of 13 years’ work experience recorded. He held different positions and was actively involved in cost modelling, fund raising, cross border’s activities as well as supervising 9 Asian countries from the perspective of financial reporting, investment, taxation and corporate exercises during the tenure.
Subsequently, he joined Sun Life Malaysia Assurance Berhad and was entrusted for overseeing finance and accounting portfolios including treasury management, bank reconciliation, investment back office and legacy projects.
2 years later, he joined MCIS Insurance Berhad with roles for certain regulatory reporting and finance operations as treasury management, insurance agents’ remuneration and governance, investment operations and etc. During his 7 years of employment with MCIS, Kenlix contributed to 3 major Merger and Acquisitions involving Zurich Life & General Insurance Malaysia, Pacific Insurance Berhad and Sanlam Group, South Africa. He was also entrusted to lead country and industry wide activities introduced by Bank Negara Malaysia and Life Insurance Association of Malaysia namely, Balanced Scorecard, Cheque-less and Cashless campaigns, digital database for Unclaimed Money, E-payment gateway & E-wallet and online insurance products.
In 2020, he left MCIS Insurance Berhad and assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer in PT Resources Holdings Berhad with the key duty to lead the exercises of Initial Public Offering and corporate restructuring.
