WILLIAM CHEONG WENG CHAN joined in June 2022 as Head of Human Resources & Administration.

William has over 25 years in Human Resources from the insurance, banking, and information technology sectors with involvements in strategic human resources, merger & acquisition, and industrial relations litigation. His experiences covered ASEAN countries, Hong Kong, and Macau. Prior to joining Labuan Re, he was the Head of Human Resources with The Pacific Insurance Berhad and AmGeneral Insurance Berhad/Kurnia Insurans. He previously held positions as Advisor in the CEO Office and also, to Prudential Affinity Business in Pacific Insurance, and as a Senior Consultant with Ernst & Young Management Consulting. He was a former Board member for a local charity organization for 18 years.

William holds a Master in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Finance from Northwest Missouri as well Science with Education from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.  He was a former scholar under the AIG Starr Foundation, New York.
