YEW KONG rejoined Labuan Re on January 5th, 2026, as the Chief Financial Officer. He is well known in Labuan Re having previously served as Chief Financial Officer from 2018 to 2021. He is a Fellow Member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (FCCA) and a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA).

With over 30 years of management experience in Insurance Industry across Malaysia and Singapore. Yew Kong brings strong strategic leadership on profitable growth. He is committed to contributing positively and maximizing the returns for stakeholders.

Most recently, he was the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Progressive Insurance Berhad. Prior to that, he held Chief Financial Officer positions with several Multinational Insurance Companies including QBE Insurance (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Chubb Insurance Malaysia and QBE Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad.
