PATRICK joined on February 7th 2022 as the Chief Information Officer of Labuan Re and has played a pivotal role since joining the company. In just one year, he successfully ensured Labuan Re’s compliance with the latest Labuan Financial Services Authority’s IT Digital Governance Framework. Over the past three years, Patrick has crafted an Information Technology strategic roadmap, aligning technology with business strategy, and enhanced various digitization initiatives crucial for supporting the company’s operations. Notably, he spearheaded the reconstruction of the IT team, transforming it into one of the most efficient teams within the organization.

With a robust background spanning over 30 years in the IT industry, Patrick’s expertise has been predominantly focused on the insurance/takaful sector for the last 28 years. His extensive experience encompasses managing the entire information technology spectrum, ranging from core systems development to front-end web development, end-user computing, infrastructure management, IT operations management, IT procurement, and IT risk management.

Patrick’s academic qualifications include a Master of Science (Management) from Asia eUniversity, Kuala Lumpur, and a Bachelor of Information Technology (Business Information System) from HELP Institute, Kuala Lumpur, affiliated with Charles Sturt University, Australia. In addition, he holds the prestigious CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) certification from ISACA, highlighting his expertise in information security management. His profound contributions and wealth of experience make him an invaluable asset to Labuan Re.
