ZAID joined on February 17th 2020 as the Chief Underwriting Officer/Senior Vice President of Labuan Re, bringing with him 13 years of regional reinsurance underwriting experience from Allianz Re Singapore and Asia Capital Reinsurance Group Pte Ltd. Prior to this, he worked in Tenaga Risk Management & Services (a JV with Tenaga Nasional Berhad), Marsh Insurance Brokers. His most recent appointment was in QBE Insurance Malaysia, hence providing a complete circuit of the insurance industry from the end user, broker, insurer and reinsurer.

He graduated from The Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BSc in Economics majoring in Actuarial Science and Finance.
